Tayrona National Park

Tayrona is 35 km east of Santa Marta and combines jungle with white-sand Caribbean beaches. The most popular beach is Cabo San Juan, reached by a 2-hour hike from the Canaveral entrance.

Lost City trek (Ciudad Perdida)

Built by the Tayrona people around 800 AD, Ciudad Perdida pre-dates Machu Picchu by 650 years. The trek is 44 km round trip over 4-5 days, passing indigenous Kogi communities. All operators charge the same regulated price of around 1,950,000 COP all-inclusive.
